ENGINEERING MECHANICS

ENGINEERING MECHANICS

Are you interested in improving your mechanics or presenting yourself all together? Join our unique course, designed by the Federal University. Through our innovative approach, you will receive the basic traditional material when participating in practical tasks and you will learn the strictly theoretical mathematical analysis of the basic concepts. You will be presented with the mathematical modeling of engineering designs, standard machines and mechanisms using 2D and 3D diagrams. The course begins with the static, which is the science of forces.

  • Note the equilibrium conditions of the structural elements and the units of machines and mechanisms.
  • perform the replacement of a system of forces acting on the structural elements and components of the mechanisms with another equivalent.
  • Create balancing 2D and 3D diagrams in standard engineering objects.
  • Choose the appropriate mathematical models to calculate geometric parameters and force loads in problems related to the balance of engineering structures.

apply combinations of mathematical operations according to the mathematical models obtained, when creating and solving equations that describe the equilibrium of engineering structures.
The weekly course includes video lectures on theoretical concepts, video demonstrations of practical problem solutions, tasks for student training, individual tasks, intermediate and final tests.
